Doris Kearns Goodwin is a Pulitzer Prize-winning historian, author and political commentator. Her book, An Unfinished Love Story: A Personal History of the 1960s, is both an autobiography that explores her life and experiences as well as an intimate biographical portrait of her late husband, Richard N. Goodwin—told within the broader context of 1960s American history. Richard N. Goodwin (1931-2018) was a speechwriter and assistant special counsel to President Kennedy and later special assistant to President Johnson.
